Morocco is one of the African countries that are designated as North Africa or white Africa. It is one of the native African nations that was affected by the arrival of the Arabian preachers that brought Islam to them. Right from the onset, and due to its location, Morocco was prone to invasions by Europeans and Africans. It is a nation that has been invaded by Phoenicians, Romans, byzantine warriors, vandals and even Carthaginians.
The original inhabitants of the country named the Berbers have been able to withstand all these inversions. Nevertheless, the arrival of the Islamic jihadists in 702 gave them a fight for their money. When this could not be resisted, they succumbed and adopted Islam as a religion and way of life.  This led to the development of several dynasties through the little organization that Islam brought. These include a light up of Berber dynasties. They include the Idrisid dynasty from 788. This is followed by Umayyad from 926, Almoravids from 1056 and the Almohads dynasty from 1174. The next dynasty is the Marinid dynasty from 1296, Wattasid from 1465, Saadi from 1554, and the final, which is the Alawi from 1666.
The influence of the ruling Ottoman Empire started declining around 1800. This gave the European divide-and-rule colonial masters the leverage to come in. France made their interest formal in 1906. However, this was opposed by the German government. Even so, against the wish of the Germans, Morocco became a French colony in the Treaty of Fez in 1912.  Following Spain’s support to France, they got an authority over Ifni that is located in the south and Tétouan which are located in the north.
Nevertheless, a rebellion happened in 1920 with the barbers going against the French colonial masters. This was led by Muhammad Abd el-Krim, but the Republic that ensued after this was defeated by a joint Spanish and French inversion in 1926.
Even so, in 1953, an uprising erupted after France deposed their nationalist leader named sultan Mohammed V ibn Yusuf. He was later returned due to pressure on France, and this led to Morocco’s independence in 1956. They later became a constitutional monarchy in 1977.
