In Burnham Thorpe is the heart of the English way of life. Oh, did I say the heart? Maybe I should have said the brains, as this is considered the learning community. There are many things that are so good about the Norfolk County and some that are not so good. However, if you are one of the phobic travelers who are always looking for inbred halfwits, then you will not find them in Norfolk County. Ok, it has its failings, but the people are cool, you know, they are English! They are gentlemanly but all the same, they have their failings too. No one is an angel, right? Unless you believe in the old English tales of fairies? You have certainly heard of the Boy from Burnham Thorpe, Lord Nelson. But there is more to that place than this. Burnham Thorpe is regarded as learning community and for real that is what it is. When you get to Rome, they say you have to do as the Romans do, so that you can fit right in and that is what will happen when you get to Norfolk County and especially Burnham Thorpe. The intellectual in you will be aroused by the sight of so many schools, so many learning centers and so much aura of intelligence around you. I mean, it always marvels visitors, yes, even those who cannot add two and two together to get four. Ok, just because Burnham Thorpe is a small village in the County Of Norfolk, do not make the mistake of thinking that there is anything small about it. It has life that is larger than life. It has amazing people. It is a great community and hidden there in, you will find that most of the old English customs have been safeguarded I would say that Burnham Thorpe is to the English as Alaska is to the Eskimo. You would not expect to find them in Africa, would you? Can you Search the points on the map? Image courtesy of: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Norfolk_UK_locator_map_2010.svg |
